Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening or part butter
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. flour
    1 pkg. German chocolate
Preparation
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0 in a 9-inch stem pan.
