Campbell'S Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    14 qt. tomatoes
    14 parsley stems
    2 onions
    14 celery stalks
    1 or 2 bay leaves
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 lb. butter
    6 tsp. salt
    little pepper
Preparation
    Cook vegetables until
    tender
    and
    put
    through sieve, then add butter, salt
    and
    pepper.
    Mix 12 tablespoons flour, 16 tablespoons sugar, 1 cup cream or milk mixed with flour and sugar. Add milk mixture
    when
    it boils.
    Boil 1/2 hour; stir often so it won't burn.
    Water bath 10 minutes.
