Treasure Chest Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 unbeaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. salted mixed nuts, broken into large pieces
    1 c. well drained maraschino cherry halves
    1 large (4 1/2 oz.) Nestle chocolate candy bar, cut in small pieces or 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
    Add brown sugar and sugar gradually to butter; cream thoroughly.
    Blend eggs; beat well after each and add vanilla.
    Beat until fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk; begin and end with dry ingredients.
    Blend well after each addition.
