Cherry-Hot Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour, sifted
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    1 c. sour pitted red cherries, well drained
Preparation
    Mix together dry ingredients.
    Add milk and egg; beat well. Add butter.
    Fold in 1 cup cherries.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Serve hot with butter.
