Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion
    3 cans (14 1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained
    1 can (16 oz.) pinto beans, undrained
    1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans, undrained
    1 can (15 oz.) yellow hominy, drained
    1 can (4 oz.) green chiles, undrained
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 pkg. (1 1/4 oz.) taco seasoning
    1 pkg. (0.4 oz.) Ranch-style salad dressing mix
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook meat and onion.
    Then add all other ingredients.
    Cover and simmer one hour.
