Dinner In A Pepper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3 medium tomatoes, chopped and peeled
    1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 (8 oz.) can creamed corn
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. dried basil
    dash of pepper
    3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Cut tops off green peppers; discard seeds and membranes.
    Chop enough of the tops to make 1/4 cup.
    Boil whole peppers for 5 minutes, drain well.
    Sprinkle inside lightly with salt.
    In skillet, brown beef, onion and the 1/4 cup of green pepper.
    Add tomatoes and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
    Drain off liquid.
    Add both corns, salt, basil and pepper to skillet.
    Mix well.
    Stuff peppers with the meat mixture.
    Toss crumbs with melted butter, sprinkle on the top of peppers.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 8.
