Nick'S Stew (Stefatho) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. deer or beef, cubed (boneless)
    1 stick butter
    1 c. Burgundy wine
    1 tsp. salt
    3 large onions, sliced
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cube meat 1 1/2 inches, place in deep dish.
    Add water to cover and 3 teaspoons of salt.
    Soak overnight in refrigerator.
