Green Pea Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can LeSueur peas
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 small jar pimento, diced
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 c. grated cheese
    1/2 c. melted margarine
    1/2 stack Ritz crackers
Preparation
    Saute onion.
    Drain half the liquid from the peas.
    Mix peas, soup, pimento and water chestnuts.
    Add onion.
    Pour into an 8 x 8-inch casserole.
    Top with cheese; crumble crackers in melted margarine and spread on top of cheese.
    Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
