Horseshoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 to 8 c. flour
    1 lb. lard
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    2 yeast
    1 1/2 lb. walnuts
    1/4 lb. oleo
Preparation
    Knead the mixture made from the first 5 ingredients
    until it does not stick on hands.
    Put in Ziploc bag.
    Put in pan of cold water until it floats.
    Open bag; wrap in towel and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
    Grind walnuts.
    Add sugar to your sweetness.
    Melt the oleo.
    Roll like pie dough on granulated sugar.
    Cut into 2 x 4-inch shapes.
    Put nuts on; roll and shape like horseshoes.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 until lightly browned.
