Pecan Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. shortening
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. cold water
1 cake compressed yeast
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 c. flour, sifted before measuring
Preparation

Scald the milk.
Add the shortening and sugar.
Stir until dissolved, then add the cold water.
Crumble in the yeast, stirring until dissolved.
Add the egg and flour; knead to get rid of stickiness.
Roll into rectangle.
Add filling.
