Polvorones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. almond extract
    12 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cream oleo and shortening.
    Add vanilla and almond extract. Mix in sugar, flour and pecans.
    Chill mixture for 1 hour.
    Roll into 1 inch balls and then roll out into crescents.
    Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    They should brown only slightly.
    Remove from cookie sheet after cooling and roll in powdered sugar.
