Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2/3 c. plain flour
    2 sticks butter
    1 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook and stir milk and flour together until thick.
    Let it cool until cold.
    Add butter, Crisco, sugar, salt and vanilla; mix with flour mixture and beat at least 10 minutes.
    Keep in refrigerator until cake is done and cold, then frost.
