Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    6 egg yolks, well beaten
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour cream
    6 egg whites, beaten stiff
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; beat in egg yolks.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Beat vigorously; add flavoring.
    Pour into 10-inch tube pan, greased and sprinkled with white sugar.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
