Seafood Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. finely minced onion
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    2 c. chicken or fish stock
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. finely chopped carrots
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 lb. fish fillets, cut into bite size pieces
    3 c. milk
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. light cream
    1 c. cooked crabmeat
    2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams with liquid
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter for 3 minutes; add stock, celery, carrots,
    salt,
    pepper, bay leaf and thyme.
    Simmer gently 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add fish;
    simmer 5 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf. Make smooth
    thin
    paste
    of 1 cup milk and flour.
    Add to hot mixture and
    cook,\tstirring, until thick.\tStir in remaining milk, cream, crab meat and clams.
    Serves 6.
