Real Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. cold water
3 egg yolks, beaten
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp. margarine
grated peel of 1 lemon
1 baked pie crust
3 egg whites for meringue
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch together.
Add cold water.
Cook in microwave, stirring often.
When it is a medium consistency, add egg yolks, lemon juice and rind.
Return to microwave and cook until thick.
If too thick, use hand blender to smooth out.
Add margarine.
Pour into pie crust.
Beat egg whites and 1/3 cup sugar.
Spread meringue to hot pie, sealing to sides.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes, until brown.
