Sweet Pickles(14 Days) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. canning or pickling salt
    2 gal. fresh water
    4 oz. powdered alum
    1 gal. white vinegar
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    10 lb. sugar
    pickling spice
Preparation
    Step 1:
    Add 4 cups canning or pickling salt to 2 gallons of fresh water.
    Fill 4 gallon churn with whole cucumbers.
    Pour water and salt over cucumbers and let stand for 7 days.
