Linda'S Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. orange slice candy, diced
    2 c. chopped pecans
    1 1/2 c. coconut
    8 oz. pitted dates, chopped
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 sticks margarine, melted
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour melted margarine over fruit and nuts.
    Beat eggs and sugar.
    Add flour and soda (which have been sifted together), alternating with buttermilk.
    Fold in fruit and nuts.
    Grease and flour tube pan and add cake mixture.
    Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours.
    Cool on rack.
