Fudge Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Sugar
    1/4 c. White Corn Syrup
    1/2 c. Milk
    1/2 c. Shortening
    2 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate (2 oz.)
    1/4 tsp. Salt
Preparation
    Melt the shortening and chocolate over hot water or in microwave.
    Add the rest of the ingredients, stirring constantly, bring rapidly to a full boil.
    Boil to 220\u00b0 or exactly one minute. Cool in a pan of ice water until lukewarm.
    Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and beat until icing begins to lose its gloss and is a consistency to spread.
