Ingredients

1 lb. asparagus, stems lightly peeled
1/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 c. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation

Trim off tough ends of asparagus.
In microwave dish, arrange asparagus alternately, tips and ends.
Add water.
Cover with plastic.
Vent 1 corner.
Microwave on High for 6 to 8 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
Rearrange halfway through.
Let stand 3 minutes.
