Carrots A La Orange - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 to 10 carrots, cut in half and unpeeled
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 c. fresh orange juice
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 oranges, peeled and sliced in rings
Preparation

Wash carrots, scrub with stiff brush and cut in half.
Cook until just tender. Melt butter or margarine in heavy skillet. Add sugar and orange juice.
Let bubble 2 to 3 minutes. Add carrots, tossing now and then to glaze well over medium heat.
Top with orange slices and sprinkle with nutmeg, turning now and then so carrots and oranges are thoroughly glazed.
Serve at once!
Yields 6 servings.
