Italian Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 cloves garlic
    2 cans tomatoes
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    1 c. water
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook onion in hot oil.
    Add meat and garlic; brown lightly.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer, uncovered, 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
    Remove bay leaf and serve over hot spaghetti.
