Gravy Baked Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lean pork chops (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. hot shortening
    1 can mushroom soup
    2/3 c. Pet milk
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Sprinkle lean pork chops with salt and pepper.
    In 10-inch skillet, brown in tablespoon of hot shortening.
    Pour off drippings.
    In baking dish, pour around chops a mixture of mushroom soup, milk and water.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes or until chops are tender.
    Stir gravy well.
