Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. white flour
1/4 c. sugar (optional)
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening or oil
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
Add egg, milk and shortening (oil).
Beat until smooth.
Pour into greased 8 or 9-inch square pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 450\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
