Grandma'S Jack O' Lantern Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. steamed and strained pumpkin, thick to measure (may use a 1 lb. 3 oz. can pumpkin)
1 c. brown sugar (dark or light)
1 c. white sugar
2 Tbsp. molasses
1/4 tsp. powdered cloves
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt (may omit)
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 c. scalded milk
2 (9-inch) pie crusts ready in pie plates/tins
Preparation

Mix ingredients in order given, pouring mixture into waiting pie crusts.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for about 50 minutes until testing knife comes out clean.
May cook the pumpkin pudding in a baking dish instead.
May serve with whipped cream, chunks of Cheddar cheese or vanilla ice cream.
