Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3 (13 oz. each) cans evaporated milk
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Bring cornmeal, shortening and 2 cans of milk to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Combine egg, remaining milk and salt and add to the mixture.
    Quickly stir in baking powder.
    Pour mixture into a greased 1-quart casserole dish.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown. Serves 12.
