Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 c. hot water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dry taco mix
Preparation
    Saute onion, green pepper, ground beef and rice in oil in large skillet until beef is browned.
    Pour off excess fat.
    Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer 35 minutes, stirring once, until rice is done.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
