Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick margarine
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 Tbsp. corn meal
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. vinegar
2/3 c. sweet milk
3 eggs (save whites for meringue)
Preparation

Blend sugar and margarine, then add other ingredients.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake slow, about 375\u00b0, for 15 minutes, then 350\u00b0 until pie filling is firm in middle and slightly brown, about 30 to 40 minutes, then add meringue and brown.
