Strawberry Pie (Shoney'S) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 deep dish pie shell (baked)
    1 pt. fresh strawberries (large)
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. strawberry jello
    red food coloring
    Cool Whip
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook water, sugar and cornstarch in boiler until thickened. Add a few drops of red food coloring and 3 tablespoons of dry strawberry jello.
    Pour over large, fresh strawberries that have been stacked in baked pie shell.
    Chill overnight.
    When ready to serve, top with Cool Whip.
