Christmas Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal milk, heated
    1 c. sugar
    vanilla
    6 egg whites
    6 egg yolks
    1 Tbsp. flour
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    To heated milk add egg yolks (well beaten) along with flour. Add the sugar.
    Cook in double boiler until thickened, then cool. Beat the egg whites and stir in.
    Add vanilla and 1 carton Cool Whip.
    Chill.
    If it gets too thick, add a little more milk.
