Chocolate Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
    8 Tbsp. butter (1 stick)
    1 c. sugar
    2 large very ripe bananas, mashed
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda, sifted
Preparation
    In a large heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt the chocolate and butter together.
    Remove from heat and mix in sugar, bananas, vanilla and eggs.
    Measure the flour in a 2-cup measuring cup and thoroughly mix in the baking soda.
    With a whisk, mix into the saucepan until thoroughly combined.
    Pour into a greased, floured 8-inch layer pan and bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes until a tester inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
