Quarterback Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1/2 to 1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. cooking oil
    3 c. chopped apples
Preparation
    Combine cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and eggs, mixing until well blended.
    Set aside.
    Combine flour, remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Add combined oil and eggs, mixing just until moistened.
    Fold in apples and nuts.
