Bourbon Franks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
    1 c. bourbon
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    4 pkg. (8 oz. each) miniature cocktail frankfurters or 2 lb. hot dogs, cut into 1-inch chunks
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, mix all ingredients except frankfurters. Cover and simmer at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Sauce can be made ahead to this point.
    Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours.
    Reheat sauce until hot.
    Add frankfurters and simmer until heated thoroughly, about 5 minutes.
    Makes about 64 appetizer servings.
