Cream Pie Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 egg whites
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Mix
    sugar,
    cornstarch
    and salt together.
    Add heated milk slowly to mix.
    Cook over double boiler until thickened. Add
    egg yolks
    and\tbutter; reheat.
    Add flavoring and cool. Make meringue
    with
    egg whites.
    Fill crust with filling and cover with meringue.
    Brown in 400\u00b0 oven.
