Czechoslovakian Cake(Bar Cookie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. soft butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. strawberry preserves

Preparation

Combine the first 6 ingredients.
Spread 2/3 of the paste in well-greased 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan, then spread on preserves.
Drop rest of paste over preserves so that preserves show through.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Cool.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares.
