Scotch Chocolate Cake And Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
4 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine flour and sugar in a mixing bowl, mixing well.
In a saucepan, put margarine, Crisco, cocoa and water.
Bring to a rapid boil and then pour over flour and sugar, mixing gradually.
Put soda in buttermilk.
Add to the eggs and vanilla.
Beat slightly. Add to other ingredients.
Mix and turn into an 11 x 16 greased and floured pan.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Make icing 5 minutes before cake is done and pour hot icing over cake.
