German Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. margarine
    2 egg yolks
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. evaporated milk
    pinch of salt
    2 Tbsp. butter, softened
    1 can pie filling, cherry or blueberry
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except the pie filling and cinnamon. Work with your hands.
    Spread in a 9
    X 13 inch pan.
    Cover with pie filling.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
    Beat 2 egg whites stiff with 2 Tbsp. sugar.
    Add 2 Tbsp. butter and cinnamon.
