Mexican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/4 c. brown rice (uncooked)
    1/3 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    2 c. hot water
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, chopped (undrained)
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    In large saucepan, melt margarine and add rice, onion, green pepper and garlic.
    Cook, stirring, over low heat until rice is brown, then add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and cook over low heat until liquid is absorbed, about 35 to 40 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
