Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 cup milk
    1/2 cup Crisco
    2 cups self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 medium cans cherries
    1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar
    1 stick butter or margarine
Preparation
    Mix dough and roll out thin;
    grease pan and cut strips to line bottom.
    Add cherries, sugar, salt, 3/4 cup juice, and butter.
    Cut strips and cover top.
    Cook at 400 degrees until brown.
