Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. shelled peanuts
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo
3 tsp. soda
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Mix raw peanuts, sugar and white Karo and boil over medium heat in boiler until honey colored and peanuts begin to pop. (Hard crack stage on candy thermometer.)
Remove from heat and stir in soda.
Beat vigorously.
Work fast and pour on buttered cookie sheet.
Spread thin and allow to cool.
Break into desired pieces.
