Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes With Chocolate Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/3 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Mix the first 4 ingredients.
Mix buttermilk and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients.
Add buttermilk and dry ingredients alternately; mix well.
Roll out on floured cloth and cut.
Bake at 375\u00b0 on foil-covered cookie sheet until lightly browned.
