Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry lentils
    1/2 lb. sliced fresh carrots
    2 stalks chopped celery
    1/2 chopped onion
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put lentils in pan with enough water to cover.
    Add vegetables and cook until lentils are tender.
    May be served as is or with cooked elbow macaroni.
