Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. raw Spanish peanuts
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In 1 1/2-quart microwave-safe casserole, combine and mix sugar, corn syrup and peanuts.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes. Stir in salt.
    Microwave on High 3 to 5 minutes or until light brown in color.
    Add butter and vanilla, blending well.
    Microwave on High 1 to 2 minutes.
    Add baking soda; gently stir until light and foamy.
    Pour immediately on buttered cookie sheet.
    Break when cool.
    Store in airtight container.
    Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
