Poor Man'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 level Tbsp. butter
1 c. milk
2 scant c. flour
3 level tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla or extract
1/3 level tsp. salt

Preparation

Beat egg and sugar together until light; add milk, then melted butter and extract.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder twice and add the liquid mixture to them; beat well.
Bake about 45 minutes in moderate 350\u00b0 oven.
