Cherry Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    3 3/4 c. plain flour
    6 large eggs
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, chopped fine
Preparation
    Cream Crisco, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour alternately with milk.
    Fold in chopped cherries.
    Pour into tube pan and place in cold oven.
    Bake for 2 hours at 275\u00b0.
    Cool on rack about 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan and cool completely.
    Mix together the following ingredients for Cherry Frosting and frost cold cake.
