Mushroom Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 1/2 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. thinly sliced white mushrooms
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 c. low-fat milk
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Heat 1 teaspoon oil in medium skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic.
Cook until softened (2 minutes).
Stir in mushrooms.
Cook until browned (about 5 minutes).
Remove mushroom mixture from skillet and set aside.
Place the remaining oil and flour in skillet.
Stir to mix.
Turn heat to low and cook, stirring constantly, until flour turns deep brown.
Still stirring, gradually add milk.
Cook until mixture thickens (about 4 minutes).
Stir in the mushroom mixture.
Add salt and pepper. Serve immediately! Serves 4.
