Famous Johnnycakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. johnnycake meal
1 tsp. salt
3 to 4 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. boiling water

Preparation

Combine sugar and salt with meal in a large mixing bowl. Scald with boiling water and stir well.
Thin immediately with milk so mixture will drop easily from spoon (additional milk may be necessary).
