Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. stew beef
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can tomatoes
    1 can tomato soup
    1 soup can water
    6 small onions
    6 carrots, cut up
    6 potatoes, cubed
Preparation
    Combine flour,
    salt and pepper. Roll meat in this mixture. Brown meat in the shortening. Add tomatoes, tomato soup and water; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring now and then. Add onions, carrots and potatoes. Cook until vegetables are tender. Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes to thicken.
