Candied Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. each: candied green and red cherries
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. pecans
1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Mix all ingredients with hands in a large bowl.
Grease 2 loaf pans, then line with brown paper (grocery bag).
Bake 1 1/2 hours in a 350\u00b0 oven.
When done, brush top and sides with white Karo syrup.
