Pecan Fingers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening (half butter or margarine)
    3/4 c. confectioners sugar
    1 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour
    2 eggs
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix shortening and confectioners sugar thoroughly.
    Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour into shortening mixture. With hand, press and flatten mixture evenly in ungreased oblong pan 13 x 9 x 2-inches.
    Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Spread over baked layer.
    Bake 15 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut into bars.
    Makes 24 bars.
