Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. lime
    4 Tbsp. salt
    8 lb. cucumbers, sliced thin
    2 qt. white vinegar
    2 gal. cold water
    3 Tbsp. mixed spices
    1 c. white sugar
Preparation
    Stir lime in water, then put cucumbers in to soak for 24 hours.
    Then remove and wash until all grit is gone.
    Tie spices in cloth and put in jar.
    Add cucumbers, vinegar, sugar and salt. Soak overnight.
    Next day boil for 15 minutes.
    Pack in jars and seal.
